Biography

I know I have already introduced myself, but here is a more in-depth explanation of my story, how I got to where I am, and where I want to be over the next few years.

Surprisingly, I have not always been just a photographer… until recently, I was a professional long track speedskater, training with both the Canadian and USA teams, striving for a shot at Olympic potential. This chapter of my life has most likely closed now due to a few severe injuries I have sustained over the last couple years/the financial burden that came with said injuries. One of the primary causes was the fracturing of my back 2 years ago, which is when I first discovered my love of documenting what the world has to offer through both photography and videography.

Fast forward to present day, I have now worked with a variety of brands/companies including multiple different travel agencies around the world, Worldpackers (by far my favorite organization so far), Sony, and numerous sporting organizations and small companies based out of Alberta/Utah.

This has all been completed while pursuing my first degree in premedical neuroscience at the University of Calgary, so one can only imagine the progression that will be made next year when I have completed the degree.

My primary focus in the content creation world are adventure/travel and sports photography but let’s just discuss the travel/adventure side of things. I fell in love with the ability to create content of the outside world, and the amazing adventures that go along with it, striving to produce content that makes the rest of the world feel as if they were there in my shoes.

I feel as though the process of content creation, especially for brands and travel boards has shifted from leaving an impression through storytelling, to plainly showing value/what there is to offer. This is something that can be easily reverted through the display of pure adventure and exploration, which is something that I strive to integrate into each one of my projects.
